Tonight’s quick “Little Thing I Love About My Old House” is the pulley system on the original weighted windows.

Don’t get me wrong….these windows need help.

Some are painted shut, some have cracked glass, some are drafty and rattle and bang in even the most gentle breeze. Most have wavy, crazed glass. All have one thing in common…..I love them. Especially the pulley rope and wheel. Every time I spot this little detail I smile.
