Tonight I offer you this gift.
My “friend” (meaning someone I met at a film festival but who could not pick me out of a lineup,) Travis Betz, wrote and directed this amazing film. He is offering it up for free to entertain folks locked up tight (much like the characters in this movie) and I thought I would share it here with you.
My son and I went to see this particular film when it was screened near us in Phoenix years ago. My son (and I) love a good scare, throw in musical number (or two or three) and what more could you ask for?
It is a movie about zombies, real and imagined.
Those who hunger for brains and those whose brains have been rotted by adhering to the status quo.
It is a movie about the end of one world and the beginning of another.
It is about the zombies we become when we lose our passion and how far we will go to save ourselves and those we love most.
It is a movie that asks : “When all of this is said and done, when the smoke clears and the ash settles, who do we want to be?” “What parts are worth preserving?”
So….pop the popcorn, crack the soda, prepare to sing along and…..enjoy.
