
Today while we were out walking, I paused at a house we see almost every day to admire the gate I never noticed.
It’s funny how that works. How the details become part of the scenery, blended and blurred until they are absorbed into the bigger picture, hardly noticed, glossed over by the eye.
As I leaned in close to take a photo, as I voiced these thoughts aloud, my husband urged me to look closer still so I would not miss the ladybug my eye was sweeping over.
