
I was in the store for all of fifteen minutes.
I ran in to get some picture wire and that was all the time it took for nature to change the scene and hang a different picture herself.
Blue skies changed to gray. Still air to gusts of wind. Calm to electric. Silence to booms.
I stood bewildered for a moment, wondered if I had shopped longer than I realized.
Timed the flashes of light.
Ran for my car.
Closed the door.
Narrowly beat the rain.
