Well, That Didn’t Take Long…..

School started back at the Glynn Academy High School across the street from us last Thursday.

Today, Monday, I came home from running errands to find a news crew from Jacksonville set up on the corner.

Being the inquisitive (nosy) type, I of course wandered over to get the scoop.

Seems they were there to do a story on the 37 kids who were now in quarantine after a positive COVID exposure…..

Heavy Sigh.

My husband and I had a discussion over dinner the night the kids came back. I reiterated how thankful I am that our son is grown and that I do not have to personally make the choice of what to do with him during the school year. It is not a choice that is easy to make for a lot of families and for a lot of reasons. I don’t know what the answer is but I am certain that uncertainty is the biggest part of the equation.

We ended our discussion when I posed the question “How long do you give this before there is a problem?”

I said the end of September.

My husband said “I give it to the end of the week.”

It didn’t take long for him to be proven correct although it is not a bet he is happy to have won…..
