If You Give A Mouse A Cookie….

If you decide to wash your car, dogs who normally mill around the yard uninterested in your activities, will suddenly want to join in.

They will throw themselves into the fray and spray until they are sodden and bedraggled.

They will remedy this state by rolling in the dirt.

Dirt that combined with their dripping fur quickly becomes mud.

Mud that will cling steadfast to their fur until you draw them a bath which will send them racing through the house and hiding in corners, a trail of dirt giving their location away.

The dirt which is now mud, will clog the drain once you drag them to the tub.

The dogs which were once dirty but are now clean will flee the tub which is slowly backing up, will race once again through the house.

Will be discovered by following footprints on hardwood, because although they are no longer dirty, they are still far from dry.

After you finish cleaning the floors and the footprints and the dogs, you will congratulate yourself for being so productive, will put the towels is the washer and hit “start.”

At this point, the thirty percent chance of rain in the forecast, will suddenly jump to eighty, and you will hear a noise outside and realize the sky has opened up and it is in fact raining all over your newly washed car….
