It’s Official

Look what came in the mail!

Technically look what came in the church next door’s mail and then sat and sat but was hand delivered to us today.

It is official.

The Eichberg Oak is now a registered member of the Live Oak Society and has been issued this certificate recognizing it as being over one hundred years old. (Our estimates place it at 560 years.)

I am so proud of this amazing tree, named after the architect of our house who chose to build in harmony with the tree.

And although I have not yet received MY certificate, I am probably, officially, a crazy tree person.

And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  1. Now you will have to place a placard at the base of the tree with it’s official name and the person responsible for its name.

    1. Yes! I can’t wait to do this. I am, as I am sure you can tell, obsessed with this tree. Words and pictures do not do justice to how magnificent it is in person.
