Today I am thankful for my best and oldest friend.

The day we met we had an instant connection and from that day forward we have been thick as thieves.

Through good times and bad; from Nancy Drew to purses and boys; through more than one precarious situation and countless other adventures. Even over the span of decades and years between conversations she is my constant companion even when we are miles apart.

She is the sun and I am the shadows.

I am thankful she was born and that we crossed paths.

Today is her birthday but she is the gift.
